Some more information about the final six players in the EPT London 2022 Main Event. Information compiled by Jan Kores, EPT Media Coordinator.

Seat 1: Jack Sinclair, 31, United Kingdom – 4,840,000

Jack Sinclair

Jack Sinclair has made it to a big final table at a second consecutive EPT stop, this time in his home city. He finished second in the record-setting field of 6,313 entries in the Estrellas Main Event in Barcelona. The €377,120 payday was Sinclair’s third-biggest live cash, as he’d previously earned two seven-figure scores at the World Series of Poker.

With such pedigree, Sinclair is arguably the most experienced player on the EPT London final table. He’ll collect his fourth EPT Main Event cash on Friday, and a top-three finish would help him break $5 million in live tournament winnings tracked by the Hendon Mob.

Jack Sinclair’s Main Event run:

Seat 2: Alexandre Vuilleumier, 40, Switzerland – 1,695,000

Alexandre Vuilleumier

Alexandre Vuilleumier started collecting live tournament cashes in 2018, but only picked up his first reported result in Europe this March. That’s when he finished 66th in the EPT Prague Main Event for €14,720. He subsequently sneaked into the money in the EPT Barcelona Main Event as well (99th for €17,820).

Vuilleumier will now add a third ITM finish to his tally. He’s nearly equaled his $160,000 score from a summer event in Las Vegas and is guaranteed to break $500,000 in career winnings. Vuilleumier can make a spectacular mark on the EPT, having a chance to become only the second Swiss player to take down the Main Event title – after Ronny Kaiser at EPT Tallinn 2011.

Alexandre Vuilleumier’s Main Event run:

Seat 3: Ian Hamilton, 31, United Kingdom – 3,505,000

Ian Hamilton

Ian Hamilton had only 10 reported live cashes to his name before entering the EPT London Main Event. Hamilton has already impressed on the EPT, though. In March, he scored €156,030 for second place in the €2,500 Mystery Bounty Event, including the bounties.

Hamilton has had a great run here in London, reporting above-average stack every day. He is in the bottom half the standings for the first time, entering the final day.

Ian Hamilton’s Main Event run:

Seat 4: Danut Chisu, 67, Romania – 5,025,000

Danat Chisu

Danut Chisu had fewer than eight big blinds when he returned for Day 2 – ranked dead last of the surviving players. But the 67-year-old from Bucharest bounced back. Chisu has a chance to become the first-ever EPT Main Event winner from Romania, with only five opponents now in his way.

Chisu is a poker veteran with more than $1 million in career earnings. Ninth place on the Romanian all-time money list, Chisu is guaranteed to vault at least into seventh place. Most of his best results came in Cyprus, but he has already made a deep run at EPT. In Monaco, it was Jussi Nevanlinna who dismissed Chisu in 25th place, forcing him to settle for a €26,230 payday.

Danat Chisu’s Main Event run:

Seat 5: Roman Hrabec, 26, Czech Republic – 6,135,000

Roman Hrabec

Roman Hrabec is originally from Prague, in the Czech Republic, but now lives in the Austrian capital Vienna, where he plays mainly online. Hrabec has been competitive ever since he was a kid. He played hockey for Sparta Prague and moved to Switzerland at 14 to pursue his hockey career there, eventually turning pro.

Hrabec spent 10 years in the country, playing for various clubs at various levels. It was during his hockey trips when he discovered poker. Interested in the strategy, Hrabec quickly elevated his game and decided to pursue a professional poker career. It’s been an astonishing rise to the top for the 26-year-old.

While online is Hrabec‘s bread and butter, he has also earned several big scores live. The latest came here at EPT London when he picked up £155,780 for second place in the UKIPT High Roller. A top-five finish in the EPT Main Event would propel Hrabec to an even higher payday.

Roman Hrabec’s Main Event run:

Seat 6: Nils Pudel, 30, Germany – 1,270,000

Nils Pudel

Nils Pudel comes from Hannover, Germany, but lives in Austria. Pudel is a full-time poker player who was a Platinum Pass winner in the 2019 edition of the PSPC. On the live felt, Pudel has racked up just over $50,000 in cashes, but he’s constantly studying the game together with poker friends.

Making the final table at EPT London easily tops his $7,580 payday from a side event in the Bahamas, which had previously stood as his best result. Pudel already has a major title from the online realm under his belt, though, having won a SCOOP event in 2020.
