APPT Macau has kicked off their 12-day poker festival to a smashing success thus far.
Hosted by ‘PokerStars LIVE Macau’, the tour’s longest running event set personal bests for player numbers in a side event and opening weekend.

The new HK $5,000 APPT Macau Warm-up event drew 308 runners while the first four events had a total of 752 players which awarded HK $2,177,577 in prize money.

“We’re delighted with the response for the Warm-up event and hopefully that continues to build next week.” said APPT President Danny McDonagh. “This has been the most talked about APPT Macau since the record-setting Season 5 in 2011. We’re certainly optimistic about the main event on Wednesday.”

The 4-day weekend was highlighted by the APPT Macau Warm-up which was won by Germany’s Vincent Kohne who took home the HK $302,120 top prize. The Top 38 cashed for a share of the HK $1,344,420 prize pool in the 2-day event.
